System Design

We have implemented the system as a client-server application on windows. The amount of clients is theoretically unlimited. A SQL-server handles the storage of the data.

Testing Environment

On the current testing environment the system operates without any problems with over 250 millions of storaged data-records. We have run the tests on systems with minimum sets of technical specifications as shown below:

All-in-one system (SQL-database and client installed on same machine):

• OS: Windows 7
• RAM: 8GB
• CPU: Xeon, 2.4GHz, 6Core (E5645)

All-in-one system with Windows 8

• OS: Windows 8
• RAM: 4GB
• Harddisk: SSD
• CPU: Intel i-7, 2GHz (3537U)

Client-only with Windows XP

• OS: Windows XP
• RAM: 2GB
• CPU: Intel Core Duo, 2.4GHz (E6550)

Operating systems:

• Windows 8: no problems
• Windows 7: no problems
• Windwos Vista: not tested
• Windwos XP: Under Windows XP there are minor graphical presentation issues
